Martin Flemming
Martin Fleming is IBM’s VP, Chief Economist. He provides regular, global macroeconomic insight and analysis to IBM’s senior leaders and clients. Martin also leads IBM’s data science profession to ensure success in the cognitive era. He is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Fintech Advisory Committee and the Columbia-IBM Center for Blockchain and Data Transparency Steering Committee at the Data Science Institute. Martin also co-leads the Sharing Prosperity initiative at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab in Cambridge, MA and is a member of the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee. His research has been published in a number of professional journals and general interest publications.

Martin holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from Tufts University and a B.S. cum laude in Mathematics from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
